Elizabeth Akass

Elizabeth is a writer, blogger, and freelance editor from Berkshire. She is a Creative Writing MA graduate, and received a First for her undergraduate English BA degree. Her current ongoing writing projects include a screenplay on the subject of divorce and mental health, and a young adult fiction thriller trilogy. She also enjoys reviewing books, TV shows, and films which can be found here.

 

To date, Elizabeth has five short stories published online and in print. These are: 'Black Leather' published online, 'Cambodia' published online, 'The Heart of Africa' and 'Looking After Your Mate' published in print, and 'The Cat's Out of the Bag' part 1 and part 2 published online. She also has three art pieces published in print. Elizabeth largely writes in the thriller, horror, comedy, life, and travel writing genres.

She has worked as an Editor at a global media and events company, creating both digital and print content including articles, reports, blogs, podcasts, interviews, social media posts and more. She has also worked as a Listings Editor and an Editorial Assistant at two nationally distributed magazines producing feature articles and other editorial copy. Elizabeth also writes freelance articles and blog posts for online magazines. This is includes an article on why we need more female film critics for Into The Fold, an article on wellbeing and work experience for The Student Wordsmith, eight blog posts published through TARGETjobs, in addition to the numerous articles she wrote for their Guardian UK 300, City & Finance and Law publications in 2015, and seven articles for Loughborough University's online magazine, Label.

Furthermore, Elizabeth has provided freelance editorial, social media, digital content, and copywriting to both companies and individual clients services since 2014.
